Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a cosmetic procedure designed for the permanent removal of unwanted hair, regardless of its color. Unlike laser hair removal, which targets pigment, electrolysis is perfect for individuals with blonde, grey, or white hair that lacks pigmentation. This procedure works by introducing a small needle into each individual hair follicle. An electric current is then sent down the needle to the base of the follicle, where it causes localized damage to the areas that generate hairs. This procedure disrupts hair growth at its source, resulting in permanent hair removal. Electrolysis can be used anywhere on the body, and there are three types available: galvanic (which chemically destroys the follicle), thermolysis (which uses heat to destroy the follicle), and a blend of both.
